Ambient Energy: A Possible Solution to the Energy Crisis
Ambient energy is all around us. It's in the wind, it's in the sun, and it's in the water. Anything that moves or gives off heat gives off ambient energy. This is what makes ambient energy such a great candidate to replace the dependency on fossil fuels and oil.
Why Ambient Energy?
Ambient energy is a great energy resource because it is renewable, it's sustainable, and it's an energy source that will be almost constant. Ambient energy is strong enough that, when collected, it will not only supply enough power to run the power grids, it will have enough to store for later usage. As long as warm fronts and cold fronts continue to mix together, wind will always blow. As long as the universe does not begin to collapse upon itself, or the sun burns itself out. Most scientists believe the sun will always shine. And as long as the Earth isn't flat and there is water upon its surface, the water will always flow. So long as our environment continues to be in movement, ambient energy will be there to be harvested, stored, and utilized.
Advantages of Utilizing Ambient Energy
Many people have lived through severe storms, which have downed power lines, making transportation and sometimes remaining in the house not only irritating, but also hazardous. One of the advantages of ambient energy usage is the fact that the number of power lines needed can be drastically reduced, if not completely removed.
Another great advantage of using ambient energy is the fact that since it does not need the power lines that are susceptible to damage as well as wear and tear, the need for maintenance is drastically reduced, as well. This means that less time and money are put into the upkeep of the energy supply harvesting and storing.
One last great advantage to using ambient energy is the fact that battery technology will continue to improve. This means batteries last longer, and do not need to be replaced as frequently, once again saving money.
Environmental Advantages
For many people, the personal advantages of using ambient energy are enough to convert their energy usage. For others, however, more advantages are needed. Consider, then, the environmental effects of using ambient energy.
Earth Damaging Resource Harvesting
If enough consumers switch to ambient energy usage, it will eliminate the need for fossil fuels, oils, timber, and other nonrenewable resources. This would obliterate the need for such harvesting procedures as drilling, mining, and land clearing. This will leave more of the ecosphere intact, keeping the Earth beautiful for the later generations.
Habitat Conservation
Using ambient energy and reducing the need for resource harvesting can also prevent further decline of the natural habitat of animals. If the Earth is left intact, many animals will no longer be forced to move further away from their natural homes. These animals will not become extinct, and the food chain will not be manipulated. This can help avoid an overabundance of certain animals that may in turn damage more than just the Earth.
Ambient Energy: The Answer
As you can see, ambient energy is a great possible solution to the energy crisis, and not simply for its availability or the decreased amount of time and money needed to sustain power. Ambient energy is a great answer for the environment, as well. This makes ambient energy an all-around winner!
