Green Career- Get Yours Today!

For the past couple of months Eco20/20 has been looking at employment trends. What we started to notice (besides the massive loss of jobs), is the opportunity for people to retool themselves. A green career can be an opportunity to take off in a business that should be around for the next career wave. What exactly does that mean?

Everyone remembers the days where the big jobs were factory jobs and for some younger folks, go to college and get a job. Those two things are not so straight forward anymore. Retooling your knowledge base will be imperative over the next few years.

Alternative energy will have a major impact on the economy and jobs over the next 50 years. Whether you believe in global warming or not, YOU need to pay attention.

Start with you local colleges. Many times these smaller schools are ahead of the larger universities. As alternative energy takes over and becomes king, it will be the people who have alternative energy degrees, or the know how to install and/or build these clean energy systems that will be at the front of the economy.

Recessions are very scary times. Use the buyout, layoff, uncertainty and help yourself by investing your future career. Associates degrees do not take a long time.
