Today, the over-saturated markets of computer technology and information technology leave little room for newcomers unless they have an edge. You have to go one step further to get yourself noticed and employed.

The Green Industry

Green industry is big industry. Finding ways to better the tools that we have today to make them greener is where many of the Green industry jobs are. A lot of people mistakenly think that the green industry is strictly installing low water usage commodes and solar panels.

Green Tech is the latest field to hit the marketplace. There are different aspects to being in the green tech industry but there are enough jobs to go around for everybody. There are many jobs behind the scenes in the green industry that are tech related.

Software

Software designers have a unique opportunity to go somewhere with software that no one has before. Imagine software that is easily affordable and accessible that will monitor the energy efficiency of your home and shut off electrical supply automatically to outlets that have energy draining equipment plugged in once you leave the house. Designers are working on this and other software that will make being energy smart easy.

There is already software on the market right now that can keep track of your household's carbon footprint. Green Techs are responsible for this software and other exciting software on the market that will help you get and stay green.

Hardware

Designing hardware for various electronics that does not contain toxins sounds a lot easier than it is. Computers have not been in every home for that long but people are very used to having them just the same. The problem is that computers were never really designed to be eco-friendly.

Today a huge market has opened up for Green Techs to change the way people compute and to change the way computers are manufactured and how much energy they use.

Solar Panels

Solar energy is by far one of the best sources of energy because it is free and it can not be depleted. The only problem with solar energy is that we really have not perfected harnessing it. A huge market has opened up for Green Techs in research and development when it comes to solar energy and harnessing it effectively.

Many big name energy companies are actively searching for Green Techs to join their company and take the company down new paths when it comes to energy options.

The new jobs are jobs that are going to help us get to a more sustainable energy point. Green Techs will lead the way into the future!
