How Alternative Energies Are Being Used Successfully
As the United States has often been considered the world power, it's amazing that the United States is behind the times when it comes to power - green energy and renewable resources, that is. Many Americans are likely wondering which countries are leading in energy from renewable resources.
Brazil
Brazil has long been leading the world in solar power. The development and use of photovoltaic energy sources has not yet been equaled by any other country. Brazil has, in fact, recently used many tiny photovoltaic devices known as artificial leaves to cover the Forest Hotel in an attempt to light the entire structure using solar energy. Other solar panels have been recorded at generating five megawatts at peak production.
China
Up until recent decades, China has been majorly without a supply of power. Solar energy has changed that. Since the implementation of solar energy applications in Anduo, many homes have had stable, reliable energy. Several of the photovoltaic systems have been reported to harvest and expend roughly three hundred megawatts of energy.
Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia roadways consist of several long tunnels which remain quite dark, even during the daytime hours. Two of these tunnels are already being lit by the use of photovoltaic systems. Other tunnels remain dark, however, due to the mountainous region in which they are located. Due to the mountains, power companies are unable to supply power to the tunnels. The hybrid photovoltaic systems in place are the best bet due to the smaller size. This is suitable because the lights are only needed during the day to keep drivers from becoming disoriented when moving from total light to total dark. The two tunnels have been recorded to use only up to 35 watts per meter.
Australia
Parts of rural Australia have successfully implemented wind/diesel power sources of energy. The country used computerized controls to reduce fluctuation of the wind resource, and maintained a sustainability that maximized the output of energy.
Germany
Germany has four major reasons to be on the list of renewable energy success stories. Over two hundred and fourteen thousand people are employed in the renewable energy industry. Germany has the largest wind generated energy industry and the second largest solar generated energy industry in the world. Germany also has implemented many laws and regulations pertaining to installing, maintaining and using renewable energy resources.
Britain
Britain is well known for being one of the first countries to develop and continually improve the conversion of solid human fecal matter, sludge water and other human waste into energy. This is helping to reduce the amount of waste in sewage systems and landfills.
Leaders of Renewable Energy Sources
All these countries have made significant discoveries, implemented significant processes and developed significant technology for green energy, reducing toxins in the atmosphere and protecting the environment. Many countries worldwide are now racing to keep up with the global demand for a break from dependency from petroleum and other carbon fuels which contaminate the environment, making it an unhealthy Earth to live on.
