Renewable Energy Gets a Cash Infusion

The first of the stimulus money is not being distributed to the different states. Whether you are for or against the package, it is now time to look at how the money is spent. Many states are going to be spending the money on renewable energy. Ken Salazar announced that alternative energy is a key aspect of the Obama Administration.

Taking a spotlight on one state may help push some of the others into a good spending habit. Utah is expected to spend nearly $30 million in clean energy projects. This will help this state stay ahead of their energy consumption for years to come.

Virginia is expected to get over $150 million to be more energy efficient in their homes and buildings. Weatherization will play a big role in this stimulus push. Meanwhile the administration has said that they will spend $8 billion(with a b) on energy projects throughout the states.

With all this money being spent on green, what does that mean for us? If you have been holding off on spending money on updating your home or office, DON'T! This money is being spent, make sure to take advantage of it. Also it means a lot more green jobs will be available.
