In an effort to help save our friend's time, money and their hairline, we try to find articles that can help. While this article is a couple of years old, it drives home the point. Are we close to having cars go 100 miles per gallon?

Truth be told, we are a little while away from having a 100 mpg cars. However, in the next couple of years, we can look forward to having legitimate highway speed electric cars and gas efficient cars as well. The moment there is a real affordable electric car to tell you about, we will.

Solar Energy

Solar power is a key component of energy independence and clean energy because the sun is a free natural resource. Solar energy is harnessed by the use of solar cells, also known as Photovoltaic cells. Solar Photovoltaic Technologies can be used in many products. The more solar technology is integrated into our lives the less reliant on fossil fuels we will be. Investment in solar research must continue. While research on solar power is vast, it is still in its infancy. The expense of solar technology is a major hurdle. Additionally, more research is needed to help store the energy of solar cells.
