Winter Evaporative Air Cooler

Are you sitting in a hot room with no air conditioning? Are you sick of paying for an expensive unit that eats up money and spits out dirty air? The Symphony Comfort may be the unit you want to consider. It costs roughly $450 and can cool a room up to 750 square feet. It cools outside air and does not have CFC. Its power consumption is 175 watts or about 17 cents/hr.

There are some real advantages to getting the Winter. Allergies will not be inflamed by the evaporator because of the air filters built in. It takes air through evaporation and cools it down. The conditioner is no more expensive of one of equal size. There are no CFC's. Even if you use the unit all year round and have it blowing all day, the monthly electricity cost would only be about 124 dollars. This is less than people pay to heat regular houses. Considering most people won't use it all day long, it is very energy and cost efficient.

The air cooler is not yet a registered Energy Star product. This is concerning and will hopefully be addressed soon. The cooler may not be available at local outlets. There may be an added cost of shipping the unit attached.

General Electric, Kenmore, Haier, and Frigidare make competing products.

If you are in the process of looking for a new air conditioner, consider this one. It is very energy efficient and won't bust your wallet. If you have a regular sized apartment, than it will be perfect. The air filters give it an added health benefit. While it may set you back some, it still might be better than sitting in the heat.
