Cheaper Induction alternatives

If you buy individual induction hotplates they can be found for as little as $90 each. This seems like an ideal solution, especially for a small kitchen. You could just have more counter space where the range would usually go and have as many of these hotplates as you need and you could place them wherever it is convenient. Having a rack above the counter to store the unused hotplates would make cleanup a breeze.
