Front bearing will failed prematurely
by: mt

By design. Your Staber washer front bearing will failed!

I?ve just finished replacing the bearings on my Staber HXW2304 that I bought in 2005. Of course the bearing failed right after the 5 years warranty expired. First of all, you can?t buy just the bearings ? you have to buy the entire bearings replacement kit for 9 + shipping!

The symptom was very loud grinding noise during spin cycle. Sounds like a jet plan taking off. Once I opened the washer I found the problem. The front bearing seal was leaking and water seep into the bearing assembly and destroyed the bearing. But the worst part is that your white laundries are now ruin with grease spots and rusty brownish color. Because the grease spots are from the bearing gearse seeping back into the washer and ruin the laundries. Now that explained why all my whites? never stays white and have grease spots on them.

Once I had it apart and look inside I can see the washer is cheaply made.
I inspected the bearing seals and found it was very poor quality part(CHINA). The outside panels are made of thin sheet metal to save money. Rubberized splash skirt partially coming unglued. Staber cut a lot of corners making this washer.

I also found there are white residues build up all over both inner and outer stainless steel tubs. The load capacity is way too small and laundry did not come out any cleaner than mine old top load washer. You?re not really saving money because the water you saved is offset by have to do extra load of laundry.

Folks, do your research, read and listen to the people here that have had experience with Staber washer. You will see a repeated patterns of an over rated, crudely designed washing machine, inflated price proprietary parts, and poor customer service.

For $1300 you can get a brand name, top of the line, reliable front load machine with all the bell and whistles.

I will not buy another Staber.

I will not recommend Staber to anyone.

Staber is junk
by: Anonymous

I have had a staber for about 5 years, I would not buy one again.
They don't do a good job.
They do not save soap.
They break.
They don't spin dry any better than any other washer.
They're too expensive.
The people running the company are a-holes.
Your clothes will stink, and your energy bill will be the same.
Do NOT believe the lies. Do NOT buy a staber, you WILL regret it.
